  A gemstone on my doorstep! I have lived in Harwell village for 3 years and not being much of a drinker I gave the Hart a miss as another local pub. Not wanting to cook I decided to visit and try the food and was delighted with what I found.
  
  The pub itself is beautiful with decor more fitting to a high end wine bar or hotel. The tiny bar may struggle during busy times but that works to discourage hardened drinking and enforce a relaxed village congregation spot. The bar seating area resembles a large living room, lounge or conservatory with sofas or tables available.
  
  The dining area takes up half of the footprint and winds through the organic shape of the pub giving an intimate environment rather than an open plan coldness. The food was well thought out, prompt, visually beautiful, well proportioned and mostly importantly delicious. The gluten free bread was artisan grade which impressed myself and my partner at the time.
  
  The cost was medium to high but spot on for the value of the fare and experienced provided. Parking was sufficient and the staff helpful.
  
  Highly recommended for a quiet indulgent night.

  Excellent food and service. I would definitely recommend coming here to eat in the charming little restaurant. The only (very minor) drawback is the limited selection of cask ale. That being said, it's one of the best pubs in the area.
